Zeldathon

Thank you all for attending the first ever Zeldathon!

We enjoyed the experience a ton.

We would also like to formally apologize for not being able to meet our goal of four days. However, we here at Zeldathon do consider this a success…

We raised more than 300 dollars total, played a great deal of Zelda and had fun with it, met some great people in the chatroom and had a generally fantastic time.

In the end we had to cancel the last day because our equipment was slowly overheating, support from crew was decreasing rapidly and we ended up underestimating the amount of effort needed to complete this task.

As for the future, we are very optimistic. This Zeldathon was an amazing learning experience, and we now know that a proper gaming marathon takes months of preparation, not just a few weeks. We do hope to do another marathon in the summer. When this marathon, what will be played, and what we hope to donate to is yet to be decided, but we will definitly be more preppared.

Keep checking back… you never know when we might surprise you!

P.S. Winners will have prizes shipped by the end of January… Please make sure you annoy us about it around the 15th.

The team behind Zeldathon, a brand new website devoted to helping charities by broadcasting playthroughs of Zelda games announce their very first charity drive. From December 27th at 9am EST to December 31st at 9am, the Zeldathon team will be playing through every Zelda game they can.

The charity the Zeldathon team is hoping to help this year is the Child’s Play charity which gives toys and games to children in hospitals. The broadcast will be found on the Zeldathon site at http://tnmcproductions.com/zeldathon and on UStream.tv.

Zeldathon will be using multiple computers to broadcast a live game feed along with a small webcam feed so you can hear and interact with the game players. The Zeldathon team is also currently looking for websites to sponsor and host a feed on their sites.

More details on the drive will be added to the Zeldathon website soon at http://tnmcproductions.com/zeldathon.

Hello!

Welcome to the site!

Our mission: Play Zelda for your entertainment for charity. We will devote our time, bandwidth, love, and passion for gaming into making a broadcast where everyone can watch right from their homes. We hope that you can help us by donating to the Child’s Play charity using the widgets found on our site during the broadcasts. With your help, we will be able to bring fun to children in hospitals who spend nights wondering if they are alive or not.
Thanks for visiting our site. Please note that it currently isn’t very flashy but nearing our first broadcast it will get very populated. Be sure to leave a comment!
